Thank you

Although I have a few more blogs left for this season ie my last day and then stats on the season. I won’t be blogging in the summer since work is not that exciting. I could blog daily on how many trees i have planted and what canadian animals I encountered but I know that there is nothing really worth blogging. Occasional outtings with friends kayaking or climbing but I really bank my time so I can get after it in the winter.

I just wanted to say thank you for the support over the winter. The occasional comments and reader numbers kept me excited about blogging. I really got into it and enjoyed taking pictures of my friends out in the backcountry and trying to capture what ski touring is all about.  People said how inspiring my blog was and I can say that it is also very inspiring to inspire others.

I will feel a little lost without my blog but I am sure I will recover and will come back stronger and better next year.

Thank you.

It’s been a real pleasure staying in touch this way over the winter (however one-directional) and being reminded of the beauty and excitement out there. I’ve skiied a total of 3 hrs this winter (including 1 hr in a mall in the middle east), but your writing and pictures have helped me keep my head in the game. I’m finally getting out this weekend – nothing heavy, but every turn will be a little bigger because of the excitement your blog has helped build.
    Take care cousin.

Thanks for all posts this winter Greg.I have been a regular reader since learning of your blog in February. Part guidebook, part who’s who of old ski buddies in Revelstoke, part motivational seminar… your accomplishments are an inspiration for everyone…Especially dads seeking to maximize the vetical & turns-to-time away-from-family ratio.

    Thanks

Greg, thanks for sharing your adventures with the rest of us who chose to read them. I’ve bumped into you a couple of times at the pass and have enjoyed the writing and the photos. Thanks for sharing your evolution and the sport’s progression.

Thanks for the great stories, Greg. It’s fun to get a window into all the skiing available at the Pass beyond the standard outings. I’m already looking forward to more exploring next winter. It was a neat day for us when we saw your tracks heading up Afton, and then saw it on your blog afterwards. Worth a copycat venture for us!

    Greg,
Your writing has been wonderful. It has been my pleasure to read of these successes several times a week. You have written about many places I’ve not seen in any other source. Our paths crossed only once in the pass this winter. As I push 50, I take notice that many of these adventures are now out of my reach forever. But I am inspired to get in far better shape this summer so I might try others. There will be more snow soon enough. Thank you so much. Safe journeys this summer.

    Hi Greg,

Although we always talk very briefly when we meet I am always very happy to see you. Thanks for inspiring and yes, you really are setting high bench-marks that I occasionally try to follow :) ) Will try harder in the future.
