Caribbean Vacation
My parents gave us a trip to the Caribbean for our wedding, so while it is minus 20 at home we are on a catamaran in Guadaloupe. I will have my second movie up soon. Happy Holidays
Season’s first video
I finally had a bit of time to work on my first video and here it is. A first in the SKIN FLICK series enjoy.
Mt-Rogers
Today’s run is one of the premier runs in Roger’s Pass, if only because it is off Mt-Rogers. Sitting at 10 500 feet it is one of the higher peaks in the park and around the 30th highest in the Selkirks. A beautiful mountain that towers above the highway, 6200 feet above it. It [...]
A day off Revelstoke Mountain Resort
Revelstoke Mountain resort opened up yesterday, bringing easy access to high alpine skiing. So I brought the kids up the Gondola and gave them a view of the mountains. How exciting would that be a for a 2 and 3 year old? They have ridden it before but lots has changed in the last 7 [...]
Point of view
I would guess that one of the reasons I like running this blog is to try and get my point of view across. Kinda show off the mountains the way I see them, give readers my point of view. Well today i started filming with a POV (pointofview) camera. Its camera attached to a harddrive. [...]
new lead
It feels so great to be out in the mountains again. Many long hard days to come but all so beautiful. Today was no exception, Roger’s pass was as beautiful as it gets. Great light all day and then some beautiful alpen Glow. It may only be the second day of the season but [...]
Always great to be out
It’s been a little slow start here in the Selkirks. The snow is here but it is not the usual bottomless powder that we typically start the season with. Today felt more like May. Regardless of conditions it is time to get out and condition my body. Today’s 4900 foot day was a challenge. Generally [...]
Life and such things
As per usual when the skiing season ends I become my alter ego. Working man. It’s as if greg hill, the skier, falls into a crevasse and hibernates for the summer. I almost sever all ties with the mountains and focus on working and family. Planting trees and working various jobs in the bush. I [...]
The Comstock Couloir
I think this is my best video of the season. Enjoy.
Mt-Sorcerer Traverse
With the season drawing to a close; mostly because I have to start working, we decided on a traverse into a remote part of the Selkirk range. We drove 70 km north, 11km east up a logging road, then we sledded in 25km and began touring up. This was an area that neither, Dave,Jay,Aaron or [...]
